When I was ten, my parents took my sisters and I on a spiritual retreat. It was an experience like no other. I had left my house, my school, my friends, my city, my playgrounds, and yet it felt like I’d come home.

By the time I was in college, retreats had become a priceless part of the annual rhythm of my life — an escape from the clamor of material existence into the calmness within. I would enter these retreats a bit rushed and restless, but leave feeling wiser, more loving, and more purposeful. At these retreats, I developed connections with people that have been deeper and longer-lasting than most of my school and college friendships.

By intentionally stepping back from the fierce demands and distractions of life, we create the space to discover what truly matters. No wonder Steve Jobs was so profoundly impacted by the pause he took in life to go on a journey of personal discovery. His famed visit to India later influenced the culture and products at Apple, having indelibly shaped his values of simplicity and intuition.

It gives me great joy to launch Mentora’s Executive Retreat series today. We will host 3 retreats over the course of the next 12–18 months:

• Executive Retreat 1 – Inner Mastery: Activating Your Five Core Energies (October 2024)
• Executive Retreat 2 – Outer Impact: Leading in the Flow of Life and Work (Coming in Spring 2025)
• Executive Retreat 3 – Changemaking: Driving Deep & Lasting Change in the World (Coming in Summer 2025)

The first Inner Mastery retreat will be held from October 24 to 27 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  You can read about it here.

The second and third retreats will happen in 2025, and we will share more information on these in the months ahead.
