Coaching from the Mystic Core
Mentora Institute’s Coaching from the Mystic Core (CMC) is a transformative professional development program that trains coaches, leaders, and organizational change professionals to go beyond competency-building and mindset work to access the deepest source of transformation: the soul. Grounded in 18+ years of research and led by Dr. Hitendra Wadhwa (Columbia Business School) and John P. Schuster (ExCo Group), the program integrates mystic wisdom, science, and storytelling into a rigorous and practical coaching methodology.
CMC differs from conventional coaching programs in five ways:
- Soul-first: The focus shifts from goal-chasing to soul-alignment, helping clients and team members discover who they are meant to become, not just what they want to achieve
- Personalized blueprint: CMC recognizes that every person carries a unique inner blueprint—a distinct divine spark, life purpose, and set of soul principles that no fixed typology can fully capture
- Holistic transformation: CMC weaves healing, extraordinary performance, and soul awakening into a single integrated journey
- Proprietary tools: The Soul Map assessment, Charter for the Soul, and AI-enhanced LiFT platform are unique to Mentora
- Lasting fellowship: Rather than being a one-time learning journey, CMC participants join an active, engaged community of Mystic Core coaches and leaders committed to carrying this work forward
CMC has been primarily designed for three groups:
- Experienced coaches (5+ years): Spiritually attuned practitioners ready to deepen their coaching methodology and anchor it in the soul
- Leaders & managers: Those who lead teams and want to ignite higher performance by guiding people toward their highest potential
- Organizational change professionals: HR, OD, and talent specialists looking to embed soul-guided wisdom across their organizations
A core coaching skill taught in CMC is meeting every person in their own language and framework. You will not be expected to use terms like ‘soul’ or ‘mystic’ with every client. The program trains you to draw out each person’s own spiritual or meaning-making foundation—whether they call it faith, values, purpose, or something else entirely—and coach from that place. In institutional contexts, the framing can shift to leadership development, presence, and purpose without losing the essence of the work.
CMC focuses on the skills you need to coach from the mystic core, and it does not directly focus on marketing, pricing, or business development.
However, it does meaningfully strengthen the foundations of a viable coaching practice:
- The Soul Map and the LiFT platform are proprietary, ready-to-use tools you can offer to paying clients
- The Foundations and Level 1 Mastery certifications add credibility and positioning power to your offering
- The CMC framework gives your work a differentiated identity in the marketplace
- The alumni network connects you with peers navigating the same professional terrain
While this program is best suited for those who already hold a reverence for the transcendent—whether through a formal spiritual practice, a set of deep convictions, or a sincere curiosity about life’s deeper questions—it is not a religious program.
You do not need to follow a specific religious tradition, or any tradition at all. CMC draws from mystic traditions across many cultures, including Kabbalah, Taoism, Buddhism, Sufi Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism, Mystic Christianity, and others. However, it is not affiliated with a single religion or denomination. All pathways are honored equally, and spiritual inclusivity is an explicit, core commitment of the program.
In addition to these mystic traditions, CMC also draws upon the latest scientific findings on human nature from fields like neuroscience and psychology, and honors the rich intersections we see today between science and spirituality.
The Charter for the Soul is a series of six universal guiding truths drawn from mystic traditions worldwide. Among these six truths is the recognition of a divine creative force, an honoring of the many paths to soul awakening, and a reverence for the sacred in one another.
The Soul Map is a proprietary, AI-enhanced assessment developed by Mentora that combines psychological rigor with spiritual insight. Unlike personality assessments that place people in rigid categories, the Soul Map uses narrative inquiry (15 deep, reflective questions) to reveal each person’s unique energetic code, including their divine spark, life purpose, and growth areas. CMC participants are equipped with their own Soul Map and learn how to offer it to their clients and teams.
The LiFT (Leading-in-the-Flow) platform is Mentora’s AI-enhanced digital platform that helps participants integrate soul-guided practices into the daily flow of life and work. It provides on-demand access to training materials, lectures, and ongoing support beyond the CMC retreats and virtual sessions.
CMC is comprised of two sections, which are priced separately:
Part A) Foundations:
- Virtual launch (May 26): A 90-minute live Zoom session with Hitendra and John to set the stage, introduce pre-reading, and prepare for the retreat
- Immersive retreat (June 16–19, 2026): Four days of deep immersion, shared practice, and Mystic Core work within nature in Armonk, NY
- Post-retreat virtual series (late June–early September 2026): Six 90-minute live Zoom sessions to refine and embed practice
Completion of Part A earns the CMC Foundations Certification.
Part B) Level 1 Mastery:
- Integration retreat (September 15–18, 2026): Armonk, NY
- Deepening work with growth partners (Fall/Winter 2026)
Completion of Part B earns the CMC Level 1 Mastery Certification.
CMC retreats are fully immersive. Days are richly structured from morning through evening, with a blend of guided sessions, shared practice, and reflective time. The work we will be doing together asks for your full presence.
We understand that senior professionals carry significant responsibilities. Both of the retreats we offer have been scheduled over weekends to ease the burden on your calendar, and breaks will be built into the schedule and shared in advance. That said, we ask participants to protect this time as fully as possible, both for their own experience and out of respect for their fellow cohort members.
Yes. We have a long-term vision for this work. The CMC program will be offered at least once a year, and potentially more frequently as our community grows. If other commitments prevent you from joining this inaugural cohort, please stay in touch and look out for future offerings.
With less than 20 participants, the inaugural cohort will be intimate by design. A small group allows for deeper relationships, more personal attention, and a richer shared experience. The cohort is expected to be cross-disciplinary and cross-industry, gathering coaches, executives, educators, organizational change professionals, and leaders from diverse backgrounds and geographies.
